[ mood | hot ]

Absolutely no idea if anybody checks here anymore, but quick information before I go back to that annotated bibliography I keep putting off!

First meeting of the semester!

October 7th
Lion's Den

Be there ...

Or, um, I won't say "be square" because that's just outdated.

Just be there.

For life!

Let's congratulate Erika on her letter being published in the Loyolan! If you didn't get to pick up a copy of the paper, I've copied the letter here for you. There was also a letter in support of the article, which I will copy below it.

Our very own Erika Vega!Collapse )

Nathalie Sanchez's letter to the editor...Collapse )

Okay. I won't even begin to point out Sanchez's hypocrisy in her letter...

That's all I have for today. Great job, Erika!

Just to remind everybody, we do in fact have a meeting on Tuesday, STR 369, 7:00. I know midterms are coming up, but it's going to be a short, informative meeting. Besides, who wouldn't want a study break? :) See all of you there!

Alright, guys! It's been a very long time since I last updated this. Hectic schedules will do that to you! But to keep you all updated on the happenings of your favorite club on campus, there is a meeting!

February 15th, 7:00 PM, St. Rob's 369

You can all make that. Bring friends, new ideas, and interesting news. Or just bring yourself. We're flexible. :p

There is also a table that we have reserved for tomorrow at convo, at Foley Pond. I might be able to make it, but I can't promise anything. I usually work during convo on Thursdays, so it's sketchy on whether I can make it to the table or not. If any of you could sit at the table for convo, that would be awesome. Seriously, you'd be a lifesaver. If you could either give my cell phone a call (408.386.6072), fire me an e-mail (heavenly_mist@hotmail.com)... Anything! Just let me know if you can. The table is for the Tell-a-Parent initiative.

We also need people to write letters to The Loyolan! Megan Blazek wrote a pro-abortion article that was published on page 18 of the Opinion section. Please make sure that that it's under 300 words. You can e-mail your article to loyolaneic@lmu.edu by 5 PM on Friday. Erika suggests focusing on the woman's perspective of abortion risks, post-abortion syndrome, and how women deserve better.

That's all I have for you guys right now. G-d bless!

[ mood | excited ]

Happy spring semester, everybody! Although I doubt anybody reads this anymore, your friendly PLC secretary is going to fill this journal's pages with yet another update. This information comes directly from our lovely president, Erika.

Firstly, there is an emergency meeting Tuesday, January 11, at 8 PM at the Blue House. The Blue House is the one where you walk right out of the Loyola Blvd. exit, and it'll be the first house on your right. It's blue. You literally cannot miss it. Hot cocoa and snacks will be provided. Why? Do read on to find out!

The first order of business is the Sacramento bus trip next Tuesday for Roe v. Wade. We need people to tell us who's coming and who's not. The Loyolan is doing an article about it - and you can't beat that publicity. Funding is available for those who need it. If you plan on going, notify your professors. This is a legal absence. You don't have to tell them everything if you don't want to, but just let them know out of courtesy.

Other things we need to discuss include the March for Life in San Francisco, Mass for Life, January activities, volunteer opportunites at LAPS this Sunday for the Baby Bottle Drive, the LAPS baby item fundraiser request, the Tell-a-Parent Initiative, and so much more.

We look forward to seeing your smiling faces tomorrow night at the Blue House.

As always, contact one of the officers if you have any questions. My e-mail is heavenly_mist@hotmail.com, but if you need to contact Erika or Emily specifically, let me know and I'll get you in touch with them.
